Where we work in Savannah

TPAC (The Pool Attendant Company) staffs pool attendants, pool monitors, and gate guards for HOAs, condos, and hotels across Savannah — including Pooler, Richmond Hill, Hardeeville, and the coastal Georgia communities. Our local teams handle check-ins, safety rounds, policy communication, and digital incident logging so community pools stay safe and well-run all season.

Savannah is part of TPAC’s Georgia coverage, one of six states we serve.

Georgia pool rules, Savannah edition

Signs and Trained Operators Under Georgia Rule 511-3-5

For pools the Georgia chapter does cover, Rule .18(12)(b) says that where no lifeguard is on duty, a sign must be placed in clear view at or near the entrance reading “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY,” with letters at least four inches high. Rule .22 requires the pool to be maintained under the supervision of a trained operator, who must make at least two visits a week. Without an on-site trained operator, the facility must appoint a responsible on-site person who can test the water chemistry the chapter requires and is trained in the duties of Rule .16 (Rule .22(7)).

That responsible person is a defined role with water-chemistry duties, so ask your trained operator who fills it at your pool. A deck attendant's job is different: someone on site who checks residents in, knows the posted rules, and logs what happens.

Savannah-area coverage includes Pooler, Richmond Hill, and the coastal Georgia communities, plus Hardeeville, which is across the state line in South Carolina and follows South Carolina's pool regulation instead. Atlanta-area communities are on our Atlanta page.

What does Georgia require when a pool has no lifeguard?
Rule 511-3-5-.18(12)(b) requires a sign in clear view at or near the entrance reading “WARNING - NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY and RISK OF DROWNING - SUPERVISE CHILDREN CLOSELY” in letters at least four inches high. Rule .18(9) makes lifeguards optional at general pools; when they are provided they must hold current certifications.
